fretting a guitar

old guts and minds
fret too

notes off key

a hymnal

screamed catechism
pleaded to grace

exorcising the frets
blessing the strings
offering a chord

Olympus echoes
Hades reverberates

and my coins
fall
reflecting
forgiveness

in his eyes
