Washed Away Winter rain came again today with the wind and the grayness that swallows up the sunshine. Stinging, wild, cold, stinging striking cheeks already wet clouds in the eyes, it's raining. Suddenly the hot summer has turned to winter... crisp, cold weather changing from inside out. Lazy, hazy, forever summer days crashed into furious winter storm abruptly, the endless has ended. Struggling to make sense of it all coping with loss that keeps on losing peeking out with caution, apprehension. Like farmers looking for rain to save them and getting storms that crush the fragile rain that gives life, also may destroy it. Little boy, freshly re-formed, set free caught in a furious, pounding, un-relenting threatened; he cowers, begs for it to stop. Crying to the wind and rain that tears at him... "you are killing me, you are killing me" finally; storm passes and the boy is no more. Those left behind mourn the loss, tragic... the storms that give life and steal it away words of rain, storms of anger, winds of destruction. The others emerge from shelter, dazed, changed picking up the pieces left behind, they begin anew winter rain falling for summer boy washed away. ~~~~~~ |

A wonderfully deep poem. I know you are talking about a lot more than change of seasons. Our lives too, can change so quickly. This is what poetry is about. Love, Joyce |

This has so many connotations to it and feels like all of the emotions that one can muster. Very well written! |

Beautifully done piece. The only thing I could offer is to always seek out the best descriptions for your images that you can. Much enjoyed. Sparticus Even with insects- |

Baby you know this is one that has many meanings to most, but I will live with this the rest of my days and spend that time trying to never witness words of rain, storms of anger, winds of destruction again,or be the cause of such emotions. I love you too much to use these weapons against you and if I never learn anything ever again it is that I do not like being the victim, and I hate being the destroyer. Your strawberry wench Annie |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Daniel, my heart feels too well for those who yearn to reap harvests from the dust bowls and droughts and when the precipitation does come it seems to come at a bad time! (sad sigh) This is heartfelt, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Daniel, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton I don't need no proof when it comes to God and truth |
