Moon and Water If you tell me the reason for your frown, I won't ask you to give me a smile, Because I know how hard it is to smile, When I think all hope is lost, all heart beats draw a horizon. When the sky seems to be moody as the clouds swing across its arms, When the ocean waves of tears flood the sky, soak my breath, I, too, feel that faith is beyond my grasp. But it is okay, to be reflective of the moon. It is okay as we imagine sitting on lady moon, As we dream her back is our pillow, While looking at the reflection of our images. Our reflections seem to be upside down, Our lips, our world seem to be sealed salty scars, Yet as we look into the reflection of the moon, Something chaste and dear to our heart, Is shining so bright, and that keeps us alive. Maybe we don't like the us in water, Yet we can't deny all things add up to this moment, Create the feelings, the child in us. We are just like another vase on the edge of a table, Fragile as each moment passes. The design might have been a mask To hide the child within us. So is it human to let a tear? Is it so wrong to feel weak? We are so blessed, But at times our will is like candle fire, Ceased and we think there will never be more- All because we are made with water. Water flows so mild, So steady yet sometimes we want to flee Into the sky as we evaporate- Life is as such, yet rain always comes, When it's the time to face our emotions. Water flows so mild, So steady yet sometimes we rush into a pond, Feeling dead, feeling cold, but it's okay- Life is as such, yet the sun always comes, When we need a lift to the sky.
