That word again Thrown like confetti Poured like cheap wine Yet meant to be precious This word that's devine Lips part and whisper Some speak it true To others it means nothing To say I love you Love, not the word You could never describe The emotion itself Is a personal ride So why do we spoil Such beauty and joy By overusing the word We have begun to destroy Real love needs not words True love often is not spoken Soul love reveals itself When promisesare not broken So tighten up the tongues Of lovers as they utter I love you to each other As they spill them in the gutter Keep a special word Locked away for good Only to be whispered When completely understood |

ank you both so much and i agree that love should be shown and given very freely but it must be given from the heart in ways that are true. what must not be done ( in my eyes anyway ) is for lovers to throw the word at each other without knowing each other well enough and not meaning the words that are said. This has often caused heartbreak when one partner believes words that are not true. woops sorry guys, gone on a bit there lol. hugs june x |

 (sigh) Oh June, love is truly a word that has lost so much of its meaning for its over-excessive usage, and so many who truly say they love you really don't mean it and obviously don't know what love is and must speak it from the HEART for it to be true!
