this is a repost of a previous halloween piece...HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! ____________________________________________________ Thy smile belies a deeper threat, eyes mesmerize without regret, in daylight does thy hunger grow, beneath foul earth till night bestow, black cover for thy hunt in stealth, for blood thy rotted nostrils smelt, thy putrid flesh now long since dead, yet walks the earth, thy terrors spread, to helpless victims of thy lust, into soft throats thy fangs do thrust, to snatch life from a guiltless soul, unholy death thy sinful goal, past centuries decry thy greed, pray heaven soon to intercede, thrust wooden stake through bloodless heart, that evil from us will depart the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |
