“Oregon” traversing mountains without elevation along angry seacoasts without beaches on grapevine roadways of endless corners above sky blue lakes like azure mirrors through gothic forests of shaded woodlands and hillside patchworks of naked harvest a suitcase settler driven to horizons of redwood sunsets and brassy dawns “American Tourister” with nightly reservations among the lodge poles and totem faces at Land’s End © WFS 2003 |

coyote: I really like this and it creates so many images of Oregon, to me. I lived there for several years and in several places. You too, must have spent time there, to write so well about it. Betty Lou Hebert |

Hi Coyote, it’s nice to meet you. This was really great! My whole family slowly but surely relocated to Oregon, starting in 1980. I’m the lone native Californian left, and probably always will be. But I have been on many vacations to this Land O’ Green, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for taking me back, with this wonderful write. Richy |

Hi Betty Lou, We have gone out there every year since '99 visiting in-laws. I like it alot, but: "There's no place like home." Thanks for reading, Richie. It is a beautiful place indeed. Thanks again, Chris. I've done some off-board editing, as usual, lol. coyote |
