I Believe

A month has passed.
We both have our life.
Ever since high school graduated,
We seem to grow apart.
Maybe I was sensitive,
I never thought it would be true,
That you would leave me,
Till I received your letter.
In letter you told me you're in Calgary,
Yet you never informed me your move.
That is how far apart we are.
We are apart in land and in our mind.

All of a sudden, I wonder what has gone wrong.
I realized we haven't spoken with another since we went
Different path in our life.
Something has changed, yet I couldn't tell.
Something has changed, we will never be the same.
Yet I'm always hoping you will fill in my blanks.
Yet I know somehow it isn't about me;
Something dramatic must have happened.

All I really want to know is that
Whether he is happy or sad.
All I really care is about his health,
For friends won't leave just because he didn't call,
For I believe in him.

I can relate to this very well, Eliza. Sometimes relationships don't turn out as we planned.

As children we think that things will never changebut your exoerience, though sad is all a part of growing older. lovely poem. Maggie

I hope you wrote to this person. I think this person was reaching out to you by letting you know they have moved. Perhaps they fill the same emotions as you.

I speak from experience here. I had not spoke to a friend in 25 yrs and we had a fantastic reunion. And the Big question we both asked was Why didn't we stay in touch.
