The road I have travelled, To bring me here, Was paved with souls, And lined with fear. Sights and sensatations, That noone should see, Given a warped view, Of that man that is me. Destruction is rife, Both inside and out, A world filled with terror, Where souls scream and shout. Vandalised hopes, Discarded dreams, Where all wear a mask, And nothing's what it seems. Where do I go to, When life gets me down, When I've reached the bottom, And all I do is frown? Sight without seeing, Hear without hearing, Feel without feeling, I'm a ghost out of time. I Think of a sweet face, Etched upon my mind, The emptiness filled, I am no longer blind. This one is a little abstract to my mind but I hope you enjoy it all the same. |

I have put this theme into a few of my poems, in a different way to you. A very good write. Maggie |
