A Simple Truth

A noiseless busy ant,
I study the march, it knows the goal
certain of the path
it speeds at a fevered pace
never wavering from the race
faithful, sure of it’s destiny,
ready to die for the love of it

And you, running, always running
in measureless space,
always looking behind,
lonely as a cloud that drifts
yet love is as continuous as the stars that shine,
a simple truth found in grace devine
