Awakened by the Wind

My dreams are like stars up on high,
So vulnerable as they shine,
So unreachable as I jump
For the sky.

Once I thought I could reach my dreams
With airplane crossing sky's unlimited curve.
But it doesn't matter how far the plane reaches,
It would never reach the stars above.

Once a while I will think
Of the stars I wished upon.
Then when I am awakened by
The wind, I cry on my knees.

Why I am awakened by the wind?
Why the world seems to be so cold?

Stars brightly shine
Yet I am awakened
By the wind.

Side note: The hobbies I want are costly. I don't think I can ever afford them. Sigh

When I was your age, I wanted to fly clear to the Pleiades ... so I completely understand this~
Then I found out that I could spread my poetic wings and soar anywhere I wanted to go~

Ah, one day you will spread your wings wide and realize your dreams. For now, please keep writing ... your words are your wings and I so enjoy them. I may not always respond, but I always read.

Eliza: We all try to reach for dreams, beyond out realm! I guess it's part of being human. We, who write poetry, have an edge on those who don't. We can translate our dreams onto paper and share them with others, as you have done here.
