In the old creepy woods, There a dark castle stood, Amonst the anicent stones and oaks, And the shadow of a black knight, Riding a pale horse in pale moonlight, Ghostly images of raging battlefields, And every forth day of the seventh month, That black knight would sit by the trunk, Of that oak which fate took such a turn, Past battles would play again as they did, In which our hero gave all he could give, As our knight stares at his own unmarked grave, The crimson ghostly mist would disappear in time, As the blood ran thick though the valley line, When the morning sun rose the next day. You don't have a choice to die but you do have a choice how you meet it. |

I just found your poem. Very romantic in a ghostly sort of way. Lots of imagination here. Joyce |

David and Joyce thank u so much. I dont know why but my poetry seems to take on a darker appoach. You don't have a choice to die but you do have a choice how you meet it. |

I love this poem. I love medieval based poetry in general. It inspired me to continue my series on Nocturnus and his brother known as Aeternas. Keep on with inspiration. Gryphons will be with you. |
