A Lesson Learnt

I am such a lazy kitty cat,
My momma says I am getting fat,
For I lay around perchance to dream
Of little fish and a bowl of cream.

I'm a little cat with soft gray fur,
I lick, I stretch, miaow, clean and purr.
Once in a while I will romp and play,
But I'd rather sleep my day away.

Momma prods me thru the small pet door,
Insisting that I should do much more.
Momma says I should climb up a tree,
Looks like a lot of hard work to me.

I won't climb a tree, won't climb a tree,
Momma should know it just isn't me.
Stretched in the grass in the noon day sun
Is my idea of such purrfect fun.

Oh no! I fear a dog's on the prowl,
He's chasing me with menacing growl
What do I do and where do I go?
I must move on...but where? Oh! I know.

Wow! Momma, momma please look at me,
Momma! See! I have climbed up a tree,
Alright! So I must surely confess
Momma really does know what is best.
I be me BUT who does me be?

SPIRIT: Really a cute poem. We have three cats. One inside cat and two outside cats, who would like to be inside cats! Can't be trusted though so the patio is as far as they get!

This is just sooooooo cute! I love cats, have two myself who are unbelievably spoiled rotten.

How sweet and cute! It really brought back some treasured memories of those cats that had chosen to spend some time with me before traveling down the rest of their lifes path. Thankyou!

I loved this poem so much I shared it with my mother. Lol we have SEVEN cats and its comical watching them follow her about. Thank you for such a lovely and enjoyable read.
