Promenade Promenading under lights Of benign glow of lamps, Wandering around the shop, My eyes are in awe to my founds. Beautiful words intertwine as patterns, Assembled by an careful eyes. Cheerfully, as each piece resembled, Waved in rescuing my distress. Promenading under lights Of benign glow of lamps, Wandering around the shop, My eyes are in awe to my founds. There is a lamp, which design Is lack of others' color, Yet as part of collective art, All lamps... blend in harmony. Beautifully united, Artistically displayed, Does each visitor know... The story behinds... each lamp? (c)Feb 21, 2003 Eliza Simmons P.S Thank you all poet, poetess friends, who always drop by, read, and reply to my poems. This is especially for you all. There are too many to name each. I hope you enjoy this piece. I heard once you haven't met a poet until you know the poet's mind, just as a customer who buy the lamp but don't know the lamp's history or design orgin, don't really know the worth of the piece. ~Every girl has a dream within. |

(smiles) Oh Eliza, this is lovely, sweet friend, I love antique lamps also so very much and we even have a tiffany lamp which they say is from the 17th century, it is amazing what those small country stores can bear! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Eliza, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Every antique has a story behind it, and for each one that I have purchased I keep myself open for its secrets to be revealed to me...and in time, they often are... Enjoyed this delightful poetic work from your pen! Warm hugs, EA |

This reminds me of the saying, "If the walls could talk". It certainly makes one imagine the stories and secrets held by these objects if they were to breathe life. *s When you think you have heard it all, |

Lovely poem..gets my vote. Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Excellent write, and I printed this in small print and am taping it to the bottom of a lamp I just got that lives now in my living room, with full credit of course. The lamp they figure is from the early 1900's and worth a considerable sum. I got it for $11.00, the biggest find to date actually. One day, someone will tip it over and get to read this all over again beside the original price tag of $2.50. |

Eliza, thank you... for your shining your lamplight on the rainbow that is humanity, for all to see the unity that exists with the blending of you and me. |
