Wee hours of the dawn, Lost in PBS (public broadcasting station). Life's most trusting pawn, In her endless game of chess. Will we be all alone? Or merely lonely. For what sins must we atone? The punishment, is ours only. Awaiting the light of day. To yet again get started. Wound up and on the way, To certain realms uncharted. Touching only the outer edge, Of Love's Galaxy and Moons. Held bound by a pledge, Uttered way to soon. Minutes pass into days. Hours pass into years. Living life in different ways. Trying to avoid past fears. Learning how to live. Seeing what is real. Learning how to give. Starting to finally feel. Upon a sea of emotion, We do set our sail. With a preconceived notion, That "We can't fail". What our Fate has in store, Can't possibly be known, Until we knock upon her door, And reap the harvest we have sown. |

I enjoyed this poem, especialy the last stanza. I like how you talk about fate, which most people see as a predetermined thing, yet you say that our fate is to reap what we sow. Thanks for sharing. Keith "Get busy living, or get busy dying. Thats damn right!" ~Shawshank Redemption |

Wesly the Blue, thank you for taking the time to read and for the nice comment. I have always felt our fate was determined by the course we take in life. |
