Don't Tell The Roses ~*Marge Tindal*~ Don't tell the roses it's Winter for they are not ready to sleep Up from their beds popping new heads greeting me with bouquets of keep~ No mentioning that it isn't springtime as the roses continually bloom Crystal-vased beauties enchanted wafting fragrance across the room~ Shh, don't tell the roses it's winter when snowflakes sometimes fall With petaled beauty of their gifting they are bursting forth with their all~ I'll not tell the roses the season if they promise to bloom right on through There simply could be no reason for the roses to ever feel blue~ ~Right now our rose bed is blooming like it's Spring~ Thank you, Bill ... you know how I love them and you ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Marge, I too love roses. So, I won't tell. This is a beautiful rose. And, the poem is just as beautiful. |

Dear Marge: Lucky you, smelling the roses! But then, when you live in Florida, they probably do bloom most of the year. I do have a lilac bush budding out! It doesn't know it's winter either. Loved the poem. Betty Lou Hebert |

Marge~ A lovely picture & poem. Roses are so delicate & beautiful. I think a light layer of snow on the petals of a rose adds to it's beauty even though it does cause the petals to wilt and fall off...Paul [This message has been edited by Paul Wilson (11-22-2002 07:54 PM).] |

Beautiful Marge. I thought it was the LOVE rose. Very similar. We sometimes have roses to Christmas but an early freeze the first of November took care of that. Thanks for the touch of spring. Love, Joyce |

Hello Marge Such a lovely bouquet of words from your kind heart. I have nearly 70 roses in my garden and they are blooming beautifully at the moment even though we are going through a drought here in Australia. I'll think of you when I next smell the roses. Take care........Sue I am in motion |
