If I were a poet,
I would pen down in words
Those indescribable feelings
that play hide and seek

If I were a poet,
I would reflect my experiences
Refreshingly honest and true
so that others may learn

If I were a poet,
I would compose real funny gems
Poetic clowns they would be
Mending broken hearts I hope so

If I were a poet,
I would write dark poetry
Venting black feelings of pain and anguish
Catharsis treatment for my parched soul

If I were a poet,
I would record down today
As a poetic journal entry
Memories aglow, I hold dear

If I were a poet,
But alas! I have a long way to go
May my muse guide me along
and maybe someday I'll be one

Congratulations, Kaile~
You are certainly a poet.
We all learn from reading others and
sharing the great gift of writing.

Again, my congratulations !

yes i agree great work love the piece. as you have read Blow free you ask a question so i must answer. see i walk around all day and see people trying to be like everyone else and i don't understand it so they don't understand me for being my self i follow my heart like you said which is every evil all set on death and such. but i hate it when people lie to who they really are i think the world would be better if people were themselves and we did go to war. for the war part only because there are to many people on earth today and one room to put them without destroying more land. well thanks for reading alot of my work and all your kind replies.

I agree with Marge, only a poet could write such a wonderful poem. Happy 500th.

Kaile, looks like I'm a little late in my congratulations, coz you've been through 6 500th posts...

This poem looks real good! And the journal entry that you wrote in your poem made me sit up straight wondering how come you were familiar with accounting terms. Then I realised you were talking about the kinda journal one writes down stories about what happens everyday

Congrats again!
