She left. I feel forlorn and weak. In need of comfort, with my eyes I seek The lost remote control. I come upon A short old poem that I’ve left undone. It reads, "I’m searching for your touch, (three dots) Where nothing means so much, And much means nothing." And below,-- A question mark,-- it’s clear I didn’t know How to continue to develop this. But looking at it, -- I cannot resist,-- I take the pen and write, "Where emptiness eats up your words," -stare at the ceiling.-- "Yet pencils are in constant motion." I got this far, then wrote these lines, "Where walls absorb the thoughts. Where souls express emotion." And then, from there, ink flowed,-- "Where some are bonded by their strenght." Then paused to gather up thoughts and added, "And others crumble under pressure (three dots) And closeness has no measure." And thus continued to write Without a break all through the night. When I awoke the clock struck twelve I rose from bed and on the shelf I saw the prints of two small shoes,-- A folded letter signed, Your muse. I opened it. To my surprise this poem sprung before my eyes: Where every stranger is a friend And every friend could be a stranger Where world is hard to understand And every shadow hides some danger I’m searching for your touch In silence I can hear you laughing Where nothing means so much And much means nothing Where emptiness eats up the words Yet pencils are in constant motion Where walls absorb the thoughts Where souls express emotions Where some are bonded by their strength And others crumble under pressure Where distance has no length And closeness has no measure Where energy’s unbound And friends are never far Where love is passed around And we are who we are Check out my poetry here: http://cafepoetry.com/stage1/andrey_kneller.htm#My%20Hamlet |

WOW..... both parts are beautifully written. I am really glad that you finished the poem. It turned out wonderful. an amazing poem. The poem itself is especially beautiful. Where walls absorb the thoughts Where souls express emotions Where some are bonded by their strength And others crumble under pressure Where distance has no length And closeness has no measure Where energy’s unbound And friends are never far Where love is passed around And we are who we are ------------------------ "Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time". Baltimore Grotto "To be nobody-but-yourself-in a world which is doing its best night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting." E.E Cummings. "Art is a lie which makes us realise the truth." Pablo Picasso "We Irish are too poetical to be poets, we are a nation of brilliant failures" Oscar Wilde ----- |

Master~ Masterfully done. You can amaze a muse ... but you can't keep a muse in a maze ! The labyrinth is conquered and crumbles. I enjoyed the beauty of this. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

One can literally hear your brain working on this one... and all I can say is, well done! Sunshine ~~~Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. Helen Keller ~~~ |
