You've given me a thousand words that wrap me
in love's blanket, then caress me in the
             stillness of the night...
I look upon a face that has some recognition
in it, and it always seems to whisper,
                "this is right"...
You entertain and satisfy the longing that I
feel to share a part of me that no one else
                    will need...
And deep inside this lonely heart, a flame
of something flickers, as I take your gift
              of words and start to
                      read...

I've gently contemplated reasons why I could
be thinking that your words are meant to
              stir my heart this way...
I've been around enough to know that love has
     many seasons, ever-changing, ever-growing,
                    every day...
I've told myself to not give in to all the
beautiful things I read, and not to give
            daydreams a place to start...
But then I lose all self-control because I
know your words are going directly from my
               eyes into my heart...

So, I accept your gift of words, and from
deep inside this poet's heart, I give to
you the words that I must say...
I need someone to listen, feel the meaning,
understand it, though my words don't always
             see the light of day...
And if, somehow, by chance our words should
meet, and maybe dance, and compliment
each other like they seem to do...
Then both of us will have the satisfaction
of believing that this gift we share
                is shared by very
                      few...
These words I give to you...

Oh Sunny,
Now I know that your heart is as soft and as gentle, as one of my very dear turledoves. I am very glad to have stopped by this morning to read this very telling and expressive writing that you have done.
