i wish i would've told you back then
back when we were still just friends
i'd given up on love
and life and happiness

i lived in my own mind
yea, my own creation
i had no dreams, no
i had no motivation

i didn't beLIEve in soul mates
and i'd only ever been hurt by women
i'd never fall in love again
i guess i really should've told ya back then

then you would've always known
right from the very start
exactly what you had done to me
and what you've done to my heart

you would have known how fast
you took away my pain
breathed a life into my soul
and gave me a hope again

i wish i had told you back then
on one of our first dates
so that for every last minute
in the past 1600 days

you would have always known
every time you looked at me
that your love saved my life
and that you completed me

that little life you carried
half of you and half of me
i'll take him by his hand
i will help him see

more than the mother that you are
more than the woman you can be
i will make sure he knows
about the person you were to me...

....my idiocy...i was up all night with this one.
                Good night, John boy!

It's hard to get that tongue to stop waggin when it should'nt and its equally hard to get to move when it should.
I thought this was a tremendous read....so down to earth and loving but not without the pain of regret...on goes the poetry so beautiful each time..

When the realization sets in that we truly admire and appreciate someone it is an awesome feeling and opens up a door for us to act upon our feelings and emotions...James

I thought I had already replyed to this one and well I hadn't....Just beautiful Tony...Well she is one lucky lady to have someone feel that way about her....nicely expressed...

And I'll miss the smell of his cologne
Oh how I will feel so utterly alone
And though I never told him
And though I'll never hold him
I'm really gonna miss him
The way he'd hold me just a moment more
Even though he was late getting out the door
And though I'll never tell him
And though I'll never hold him
Way down deep I'm gonna miss him....

Julie :)

Tim, what a beautiful read this is. Goose bumps, this means extra special work. I will enjoy reading more of your work.
