state of confusion

My Poet Friend

My words are clumsy
In their quest for clarity
A mere souvenir - I’m aware,
Still a wish to be given.

Hurting, I can feel you -
Knocked down repeatedly
Getting up must seem
Hardly worth the bother.

Still, comfort is proffered
These aims steeped in honor
Like black Chinese tea.

I won’t end this with honey,
Dripping sunshiny smiles
Or draw hearts over the i
In my name.

Only friendship is served
Upon this plain white table
dressed in purity.

Corinne,

This was great!!  Only a true friend would be there to pick you up when you have fallen or life has knocked you down.  Wonderful writing.

Corinne~
This is pure word art.

'Still, comfort is proffered
These aims steeped in honor
Like black Chinese tea.'

What a true friendship you give
when you give of yourself.

Wonderful heart given words, from a lovely poet, and a lovely way to express them. Your friend will know that.

....

a great visual you have provided starting from black chinese tea to white table dressed... the hint at the purity of friendship with the colour and the resounding last word is excellent... but what tripped me was the drawing of hearts over the "i" in Corinne... I later realised that this is also the central letter in your name, and to most people would be the central word in their life... WOW and I am in space bt what MArge says as your Word Art...

Thanks for this delightful sunday morning present for me...

regards, sudhir.

Lone Wolf, thank you, it's a fine line being friends with those of the opposite sex, and I wanted this person to clearly see that I don't pose a threat in any other capacity.

Thank you, Toddles and Martie!

Marge, you are too kind, but then, you are a very kind hearted person!Yeah, I do tend to be one of those doggedly faithful friends (must be the Taurus in me). Scares most people away! LOL

Parker, thank you, sweet poet. I hope he understands, it's awkward communicating online sometimes, expressing without the intonations being heard, ya know?

Sudhir, made my day, you did!
