There we were
Both in stark contrast
Like fire and water
Needing one another,
Starring like fools
At the tears in our eyes
That flowed out
For truth has it's pain.

It contrived to haunt us
In secret ways
That we could have only
Begun to guess at,
So much the heartache
That pattern of ours
Even though seperate
It still chimes true.

I did not know
For had I,
I would have shouted
Gallantly some form of plea,
To which you of course
Would have garner
And kept to your bosom
Your hearts force lifted.

So much for the movies
And the fake sense of well being
Life really can nip at you
Making it pure,
So there we were,
And I kissed you with passion
And hugged you for life
And life now has it's control.

I'm glad life has it's control back.  This was a really emotional and heartfelt piece...
we just gotta remember that without pain there could be no pleasure...kind of a sad truth, huh.  Of well.

A very powerful piece Michael.  I really like how you write.
