A Sea of Silence / An Echo In Time Today the rains played on my mind. At first they trickled through the grays. A soothing noise, they carried me In arms of dreaming, through the haze. I saw it coming, darkness all. It almost reached within my mind. The beating on the window panes Made viewing you too hard to find. A shadow crossed and stood in front In silent cry, withdrawal kissed. Seductive moon peeked in the night And covered me in pearls of mist. Then lightning crackled, the thunder roared To flame the passions, light the night. Illusions seeped to fill the void. My heart had leaped, you came in sight. Embracing each caressing word, Moistened tears, dark moments rise, Unfolding dreams, secured in myst Beyond the shadows, loving eyes. The pounding ceased, the raindrops quelled As nighttime colours began their blend. A sea of silence, an echo in time An oasis to greet us at this day's end. 7*2k MMoonchild Maureen Scully |

Maureen~ A wistful piece with an edearing conclusion - 'A sea of silence, an echo in time An oasis to greet us at this day's end.' Lovely thoughts. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

E. I borrowed the line "an oasis at days end." I thought it was on a signature of one of the poets on here..it may be on dark passions I will try to give the poet credit as soon as this mind of mine recalls...sighhhhhh that age thing getting to me... soft thanks Maureen |
