When happiness is here I hold it very dear Heart as light as a feather Enjoying the sunny weather Warming my cool skin Feeling whole once again When lonliness comes calling Spring rain begins slowly falling Clouds fill up the sky I sit here wondering why Emptiness echoes through my being As our dreams begin fleeing When sadness makes me frown I can't help but feel down Life weighs on my shoulders Like huge granite boulders I must move them away To see the sun's rays When contentment enters in My face wears a soft grin I feel safe and sound Now that I have found A place where I can dwell Outside of my hidden shell When love comes knocking I hear the door unlocking The walls begin to shake Like in an earthquake Passion is set ablaze I'm left here in a daze Ecstacy follows close behind Totally blowing my mind Nothing will ever compare To the heights reached there Two souls tenderly unite In the middle of the night There are many more emotions Each has its own unique potion That causes them to break through Wherever Cupid's arrow flew So sit back and enjoy As new ones are deployed ---------------------------------------------------- Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Ah, this is wonderful, Lone Wolf! Emotions are such powerful, marvelous things and you have penned a powerful, marvelous poem to describe them. Great read! --You can either take me as I am...or you can watch me as I go.-- |

Emotions woderfully expressed. God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |

Amazing the emotions you covered and made us feel. "Life is like music; it must be composed by ear, feeling, and instinct, not by rule."~ Samuel Butler ~ |

Well done, the rhyme flows well, also. "Things get complicated when you get past eighteen, and the further past eighteen you get... the more complicated they become". |
