A.D. Soft the desert date palms’ song Winding into symbols of crosses, Witness gleaming cinnabar fronds Swaying as though moved By His undulating harmonics. Ascension carried on warm winds, Nothing else exists now, Simplicity has a way Of triggering contentment. Like garage sales for the departed Pieces of us discarded - Used shirts, dresses for a quarter - Humped on the still damp lawn, We’ve shed the skins we were in. Hours no longer count No future, no bygones Just an absolute peace That shall never pass. © Corinne Bailey |

Corinne~ This is a stunning piece of work. 'Simplicity has a way Of triggering contentment. Like garage sales for the departed Pieces of us discarded - Used shirts, dresses for a quarter - Humped on the still damp lawn, We’ve shed the skins we were in. Hours no longer count No future, no bygones Just an absolute peace That shall never pass.' Wow ! Just stunning ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Great images and an interesting vision of heaven "Life is like music; it must be composed by ear, feeling, and instinct, not by rule."~ Samuel Butler ~ |
