I see myself innocent again As the dawn approachs The red and gold sunrise sparks new hopes in me for this my child soft in my own arms Its Sky blue eyes seeing me as i was the child in me lain bare for a child I am i beautiful as i once was before years took me mirrored in that expresion of untarnished love of the young is myself as i have always been Can this be true am i still the same still innocent under a mask of guilt Once again i am in the field Of my memories All alone with my purity intact and i sigh A Deep breath from my soul And times curse is lifted I am pure i am innocent In the eyes of the child Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling From glen to glen, and down the mountain side The summer's gone, and all the roses falling 'Tis |

Walter* I love this piece!! To desire the innocence and carefree life once agian...especially when the paths of our lives have led us through pain and sorrow...making us feel alot less than "pure"....to go back seems to be the only way to feel cleansed....Wonderful writing~ |

"believe in the words" ... that applies here quite well take care kind poet jm There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched. There are places inside our hearts - that need to be loved this much. ~jm~ |

Walter~ This is a pensive piece that I enjoyed. 'The red and gold sunrise sparks new hopes in me for this my child soft in my own arms Its Sky blue eyes seeing me as i was the child in me lain bare for a child I am i beautiful as i once was' ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Very beautiful verse Walter! I often travel the same paths of thought ... how lovely to return to the innocence of youth. Nicely penned! Best wishes, /Kit |
