Together If strength is what you need then draw from mine And let my shoulders bear the bruising weight Of burdens born from evil's grand design To conquer two so sure entwined by fate. For we were meant to brave this world as one And boldly meet each challenge yet unfazed, To leave our legacy when journey's done Of broken foes, bewildered, spent and dazed. So walk with me through life's most violent storms And hand in hand we'll greet each troubled mile, Contented in a love that sweetly forms With every tender glance and gentle smile. My very breath is yours for but a kiss To ever seal our lips in silent bliss. |

David, I really really like this poem. I love your wording! I am going to add it to my library. It is very romantic! Who ever you wrote this for is a lucky lady rosepetals25 |

Very beautiful, David. I think you should submit some of your poems for 'Book Submission'....time's almost over to do so. When you post a poem you can click on the little 'book submission' and then readers can vote for it to be included in the upcoming book. You can also go in and edit one for submission (if you do so within 24 hours) Or you can resubmit a previously posted one in the Voices on the Web Forum just below. I hope you do participate in this project, David. You have some of the most beautiful poems that I have ever read. Denise |
