A Little Bit Of Everything Lord, I have never felt lonely as much as I do now What I would give to feel the warmest winds and the waters somehow I pray to the thousand stars, grant a wish and hold on tight Lord, I had a little bit of everything one so glorious night... I had a little bit of everything when you watched me walk that beach Did you see the way I held it all; this view, my friend, and me? From everywhere I've been in life I hold the truest feelings there My place, I was there, Oh, I was really everywhere... I felt the way the sand would move in and out beneath my feet And, how that feeling gave such different ways that my mind can surely speak The moonlit sky above gave new meaning to the water there below This view gave me light, a purer light, a faithful way to grow... I had a little bit of everything and too fast it went away I want her, me, the night and view to lie before me everyday I had a little bit of everything listening to the waters endless song Quickly life had clearly given me the newest sound to gone... I was on the beach and I was everywhere all at once that night As I stood there, not letting go, beneath your million lights That little bit of everything was more than a beach to me Everything was even more; I was beyond where eyes could see... Oh, those waves they would loudly roll to me then roll away But, my mind would take me with the waves just in a calmer, safer way I went beyond the waves path from side to side each time And, when they'd roll the many miles wide, I'd go even further in my mind... It's that little bit of everything that lets me see it all And, without her, without the waves, the world feels so small Being everywhere, I don't want to come home, it's a busy, lonely place I just want to feel the wind again like the night I walked with grace... I had a little bit of everything I had it all within these hands It's sad how things can surely change just as the drifting sand A little bit of everything was once a real place inside my heart Somehow, the world had bound the waters, and her and I to be apart... Saun Sauni :) Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps |
