Always A River I made a promise that I'd never let her down And, I held onto that when hard times were found There were many days when a heartache could easily be heard But, to myself and to her I gave my word... There's just too much to lose if we drift away Because that river is part of our yesterday But, like it's waters that run far into the sea Without each other we can't be... Always a river, like it's waves she brings good things to me And sometimes in it's storms it's easier to see That along with the water I sure believe in her Sometimes I fall but there's always a river... Always a river and always a friend Just as the water it'll be there til the end And I tell myself there's no other place to be Than with her and that river both before me... They both have the way to hold on for miles So, where I see water there's always a smile It never matters how high the water can rise Cause it gives, never takes, what comes passing by... Always a river beyond the eyes Always her and the water along my side Just as sure as the water I believe in her Never goodbye, my friend, but always a river... Saun Sauni :) Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps |

Saun..... You write such beautiful verse, and this one in particular is loving, and full of hope. It rests easy on my heart. Thank you for sharing this... Love received is equal to love given! |
