from behind the fan she reveals
only a hint of who she is
is she a mystery?
an enigma wrapped in a question?
no, she is there. . .
you only have to look

she inspires, she teaches
opening her heart to those
who are without love
they give to her
she gives to them
browneyes reflecting
hate into love

browneyes reflecting
they peer into the heart
they see more of you
than you wish to reveal
but they hide more from you
than you'll ever begin to see

I think this might be true for so many people Sven.  Very nicely written.

Are we going back a few decades Sven? When it was quite fashionable for the ladies to carry a fan.
Whatever the case it sounds like we have a very intelligent and mysterious lady here. Very good writing I like that mysterious angle and how she is going to look right into the soul of others without revealing herself entirely...Good, good good great!

Wow!  Sven, I am so touched, I think I'm speechless!  You did an EXCELLENT job on this challenge (writing a poem about me).  This one really knocked my socks off.

I am honored to be seen by you in this way.  I only pray that others see me in this light as well.  The line "reflecting hate into love" is SUPERB!

I am the captain of my soul.
