"FIRST NIGHT WITH YOU" A moonbeam shone down out of the night, I could see it caress your face. Your deep eyes sparkled like diamonds, Soft like my heart, as it beat a faster pace. This moonbeam bathed you with its brilliance, Your body shining in the night. I can now see your inner beauty, A heavenly and so breathtaking a sight. I stared and gazed upon you, In wonderment I felt from within. The passions that I had only for you, Anyone else would think it a sin. The light upon you never dimmed, As I watched you standing there. The radiance of you started an aurora, And it came through your beauty, as it dared. My heart swelled within me, As this was a most beautiful sight. My angel I know has touched you, While you stood there in the light. I ached and wanted to embrace, Nervous was I, as I asked if I might Then slowly was I touched by your moonbeam, As it shown through in the middle of this night. Tenderly our fingers touched, Melting together as they would do. Becoming one together in that moonbeam, Tenderly, as this was my first night with you. Bill Charles |

Sunny1, Yes, you were the first to say the words as only you can say them about this poem. Thank you, as I always look forward to your comments. |

Such tenderness lies in your words. This is lovely. Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Hi MMoonchild, Thank you for your comments. I love the night, especially the moonlight peaking through the clouds, during a romantic night for two. |

Bill! Whew! I thought I was the only guy who got so nervous during that first encounter. Then the magic of the first touch... Magical! Not unlike her moonbeams. I enjoyed this one a lot! |

Bill, This was surely written by a man in love. It is so warm and gently laid upon the page. A very special love poem for a very special lady. Liz |
