Dusk encircles in ashen spray < !signature-->Swirling in marbled eyes Celestial light is falling dim Within the greying skies. Darkness painted 'pon silver glass Lurid truth reflected Demons lunge within me For my pain has been neglected. Dreams of fire lay cold within As the chill begins to creep Wandering upon the edge of time I allow loneliness to seep... ...But from somewhere, the angels see... Lucid wings brush icy skin Absorbing waves of tears A nimbus clings around their frames And the light cleanses all my fear. Lifted 'pon the snowy pinions My fingers caress the sky And as I float, the angels whisper "Fly sweet child, fly..." *Krista Knutson* "You never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back." -Barbara DeAngelis [This message has been edited by Alwye (edited 07-25-2000).] |

Absolutely beautiful poem dear! I love the early darkness, "Dusk encircles in ashen spray" and "Darkness painted 'pon silver glass" and the middle line breaks the poem nicely, and those last two verses provide a positively celestial rise with full angelic choir singing; you had me flying with you! Loved this one muchly, sweetheart! Abrahm Simons "Keep on dreamin' boy 'cause when you stop dreaming it's time to die" - Blind Melon |
