Leave not a stone to mark this site, for I have felt, yes, I have felt of sorrow's bite. Witness not pain's pantomime, unwanted pallor lost in sands of shifting time, for I have felt, yes, I have felt. Trailing brambles, cormorants, as starving beggar, mendicants, who stand before all that I covet, never looking, never seeing, no light from forth heaven's sky illuminates, for I have felt, yes, I have felt of sorrow's bite. Upon hot breathless wind, beyond a dying sun, knowing not if day is done. Pillared forest aisles devoid of burning beaker pouring forth of Sol, heeding not of sorrow's call, for I have felt, yes, I have felt. Spanning breadth of river's depth, Bridging not words yet unwritten, unknown sounds by sorrow bitten, for I have felt, yes, I have felt of sorrow's bite. |

Mike--Your vision with words here is amazing...so strong and intelligent and powerful---so dark an brooding and sad. I'm glad to see you back. |

"Bridging not words yet unwritten, unknown sounds by sorrow bitten," Mournful, lyrical, "feeling" poetry. Thank you for this. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

This is poignant and almost surreal in its visuals...I wish I knew how to read better for this one...but I do think it beautiful...reminds me of a tarot card, in fact...lol...(Five of cups) |

Mike~ I greatly enjoyed reading this several times. I get the feeling that it fell from you in a rush of emotion ... very heart-felt. Powerful stuff ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
