Risk Oh death may say of dreams in youth - "You never knew her private truth." So much we weren't prepared for, Hearts should be nurtured and cared for. I stepped into this dance with you, I chose to take this chance with you! Facing risk, I knew the dangers . . . For when the dancing ends, Though many remain friends, Some become Strangers! This poem came about the hard way! Evolving from a "RELATIONSHI*" that was NIL & VOID after 3 years! And though it is a breif little musing, it pretty much has my heart, guts & soul in & between each line. Live & Learn... Go Figure! I cherish the feedback I have gotten & continue to get from the Poets here @ Passions!!!!!!!! Again... Thank you all for being here for me! Todd* I read this earlier but waited to post a reply in hopes that you would post a "story" behind the poem ....not disappointed...A wonderful piece...there is always much between our lines that no one can see~ |

Such a sad piece, Toddles...even more so because I can relate so well. To have spent so much time and energy and emotion with another and then to have it all come to...nothing. But, as my grandfather says, stand up...shake it off...move on! Excellent writing!! --You can either take me as I am...or you can watch me as I go.-- |
