I sit here and I think about how I feel,
About You, About Me, About us.
I think I feel,
No!
I know I feel.
And I know that you know I feel,
And I know that you feel it too,

You?

I feel the love of a friend,
Who feels but forbids themself to.
I feel the love of a friend,
Who wants to love but can't.
I feel the love of a friend
Who can't know the love that is afforded them.

Me?

I love with the love of a friend.
I love deeper than the love of a friend,
A depth unknown, A breadth forbiden.
I love, and can't stop loving, despite what comes between.

Us?

We feel a love that connects us as friends,
We feel a love that is deeper, and wider than friendship knows,
We feel a love that... Is bound by this world.
A world which knows differences, which knows age, which gives love.

So?

As we sit in a room together, and
As I watch you from a distance, and
As I love you from afar,

I think of what could be,
I feel a love for you, but
I know it cannot be.

RichardMc~
Welcome to the friends of Passions In Poetry.

Enjoyed your entrance and your admiration
from afar for someone it seems you'd like
to make more than a friend.

Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
Lots of great people here !

You write so well.  Keep up the good work and welcome to Passions in Poetry.

Live life to it's fullest, because one day you will be gone and you might regret not having done the things you've wanted to.

Richard welcome to Passions...and what an entrance you have made. The longing in this is so intense...wanting more than can be given.

never say never
