Listening to every heart

My Saturday Morning 6:00 A.M. Thing To Do

Some one may very well say
that I am in a rut
but I would wink and smile
at them, and simply say "tut-tut"

and not mind them, no not at all
as I tiptoe through the hall
at 6:00 a.m. to get coffee brewed
so I can then be here with you.

for here is where I want to be
amid the folk and revelry
of poetic chaps and women too
just to get a glimpse of you.

See, I know your hopes and schemes
and see that you too follow dreams
for you've laid your heart bare in here
in anonymity you have no fear.

So welcome, welcome through this door
and come back often, for there is more
to read and write and cyber-connect
and bring your coffee, what the heck!

Sunshine,
So much lightness you have expressed in this poem. It is 8:45 am and I would love that cup of coffee that you have made. Looking forward to reading more of your writings.

Sunshine.....

This was great!!  There's a lot
   of early risers out there......
I just enjoyed the whole poem,
   but one question.......

Got any Baileys I could put in my coffee?!
       (It's really only 7AM here!!!)

Janet Marie, the banana bread is warm and the butter is melting...

Bill, I've put a new pot on just for you...

Marge - WHAT solitude?!

Sunny1, the Baileys is here...any why, you ask, would I know that would be your preference? 'Cause it's mine too, of course!
