      "CRUSHED"

My passions are silent,
My heart is gone.
Why dear Lord,
Have I done her so wrong?

My eyes not only no longer glisten,
They are wet with many tears too.
My thoughts feel so empty,
Hollow and barren, what to do?

Promises made but broken,
Kisses in the night that flew away.
I never thought I would see her go,
Now she won't ever be back, for even one day.

The darkness of the night,
Hides your eyes from me.
The flames of passion that were there,
I know has died within thee.

Sweet, sweet sorrow,
Crying, and forlorn.
My soul slowly dying,
Will I ever be reborn?

Now that she's gone,
And boarded that train.
I watched it pull out of the station,
And I was left in so much pain.

A love that was found,
Found, but was not certain.
Bye my "Baby",
We've closed that final curtain.

Releasing a love is so difficult... you've expressed this very well here.

Bill.....

You can write anything and it just
comes to life for me! This is sad, but
it's a reality for most of us, and I love
  the way you wrote it.

This feels as though it was written with
tears.....such sorrow.  You dove deeply for
the words and it wove itself into a beautiful
touching piece~

Thank you very much for your gracious words. They are deeply appreciated.

Sunny1,
Thank you Sunny, I never tire of reading your writings, and reading your responses to mine. The only thing is, I am always in wait for your next posting. And I hope to continue writing until my breath is taken away. Thank you again.

Butterflies_dont_cry,
A tear fell from one eye, and sorrow was there. Thank you for the reply, and for reading this writing.

Humm, I see good things to come, as you have found Passions to be the home that it is! Look forward to more...

tracie66,
Yes, sorrow is felt, but out there is the dawn of a new day. Thank you tracie66, for your comments.

ethome,
I am also very happy to be here at Passions. What a place to meet some of the most kind and wholesome people I have ever met. I could stay and write 24 hours a day, but I must work so that I can at least eat once in awhile. Thank you for your comments.

Sunshine,
Oh yes, a home I have found and will be here, as long as these fingers can touch a keyboard. A place that I can express my emotions through poetry, and where others can stop by for a read. Thank you so much for your comments.

Bill~
Touching goodbye is sometimes fraught with sorrow ...
but then ..... tomorrow !

'Sweet, sweet sorrow,
Crying, and forlorn.
My soul slowly dying,
Will I ever be reborn?'

Yes, rebirth comes on the soft sigh
of a new love that steps off the next train.
