Summer's Eve We put to bed our rancor ridden grief And claimed a welcome respite all our own, A brief but sweet oasis of relief, A sultry silent summer eve alone. A night of passions sensed but not expressed We shared a luxury still far too rare. No spoken words nor hopes of love confessed Just breaths of peaceful stillness from the air. The end of Eden dawned and far too soon We bid our fond farewells to paradise. Beneath a mystic tranquilizing moon We relished magic moments for a trice. One loving, longing gaze and she was gone Yet in my heart as one we faced the dawn. [This message has been edited by David2 (edited 06-14-2000).] |

David, a beautiful romantic poem. wonderfully said. ------------------------ "Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time". Baltimore Grotto "To be nobody-but-yourself-in a world which is doing its best night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting." E.E Cummings. "Art is a lie which makes us realise the truth." Pablo Picasso "You do not destroy an idea by killing people; you replace it with a better one". Edward Keating ----- |
