The Laws of Supply and Demand

The staple law of true economics
That big corporations always apply
When supply is down, the demand goes up
And the prices follows right into the sky

The higher the price, the more they can get
The more they can get, the richer they are
The more wealth they have, the happier their life
And better possessions are better by far

But God made a law that works in reverse
A simple law of supply and demand
And it brings much more happiness into your life
Than any corporate philosophy can

The law simply states in plain lucid terms
The more that you give, the more you recieve
The demand is constant, there’s always a need
And the givers are those who truly believe

How many times in our lives has it happened
We’ve given our all to someone in need
Wondering how we will make up the difference
And somehow a greater gift comes from the deed

Economics professors don’t understand
That supply and demand is an instinctive art
It never fails to reap the reward
For God’s economics come from the heart

Get that old textbook and give it a heave
And remember to "Give, and ye shall receive"

How true!!! A little kindness and love come
back 10 fold....to share love and anything else that I can.....to see the smile on
anothers face is enough for me
Beautifully written~

This wonderful poem could only be written by one who lives this spiritual philosophy daily Elizabeth ... somehow, it's easy to know that's so true of your nature   Lovely words to live by Liz.

Best wishes,
/Kit

great work here, ES ... being in the business world, i hear all day long about this cycle ... glad someone finally put a proper face on it ... thanks.

My calling before me, let quill be my offering;
For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive.

Elizabeth,

How true!!  This is a wonderful lesson for us all to remember.  It does always seem that when we help others, somehow in the end we also receive help.  After all, it is far better to give than to receive.  Great writing!!

Dearest Liz: Your wisdom in this poem is so profound and you have written it so eloquently.
We only need allow His Grace to guide us and all the rest is gift. Love, Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.
