Now I Know

Today is my husbands and mine first anniversary and I wrote this poem to honour the occasion...

Now I know
that which every soul
longs and yearns for
of this I am sure
my heart beats one with you.

Now I know
that what I feel inside
is love which can't be denied
of this I am sure
apart from you, I can't endure.

Now I know
what it means to be complete
to give my heart away
fills it every day
to be apart is bittersweet.

Now I know
I have found a dream
that must come true
every ounce of need
must see it through.

Now I know
I'm so thankful that I found you
I don't know what I'd do
if ever I should lose you.

Now I know
that the sun rises in your eyes
and my soul with wings does fly
my heart with love overflows
serenity within me grows.

Now I know
I need you forever beside me
now and for all
eternity.

The seconed last verse, third line should say...and my SOUL with wings does fly....How do you edit your poem on this site??

Very lovely sentiments..congratulations on first anniversary.
You can edit by clicking on edit icon up by the teddy bear...if you don't do it fast they take away your editing privileges...you don't want that to happen...James
