THE FEEL OF HER FEEL ...

The feel of her feel between my lips
described in time as rose petals in bloom
Flowering silken softness no one will deny
the rose comes close, but not in waves

A season's growth in rich rooted soil
spreads fragrant buds on pallet's palate
But her feel perfumes upon my tender touch
with shoots so thick of heaven's breath

Vining fingers upon trellised brace
    narrow openings in narrower space
But a warm familiar path to her feel
opens to me upon my gentle kiss

Thorn's harsh secret tells only to protect
pricking thieves of beauty's scarlet prize
But passion's alluring voice wears no thorns
my painless trek to hear her feel, softly speak

As tending a garden of roses turns to life's work
still life rewards of splendor and grace fill my vase
Yet a dozen's dozen compares not to her one
the feel of her feel comes crashing upon my lips

My calling before me, let quill be my offering;
For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive.

There are places inside our souls -
that have never been touched.
There are places inside our hearts -
that need to be loved this much.
