be forewarned ... there's a couple of words in this piece that I don't think are words (shedable, explodable) ... I'm open for suggestions ... THEIR OWN SPACE ... Blue-blade razors have their own space; Some invisible shield of protection. Even if touched, a slice never to feel; 'Til everything around you is red. Sea anemones have their own space; Some perceptible field of selection. Even if touched, a sting never to heal; 'Til numbness calls your hand dead. Loaded guns have their own space; Some impenetrable yield of trepidation. Even if touched, a bullet never to see; 'Til sulfur's stench burns the nostril. Rattle snakes have their own space; Some shedable skin, peeled of intimidation. Even if touched, a fang never to sink; 'Til venom's strike reaches hostile. Armed warheads have their own space; Some explodable pin, to wield in reservation. Even if touched, a blast never to shake; 'Til hell's fire rips into ripe skin. New born babies have their own space; Some loveable aura, concealed in fascination. Even if touched, tears never to make; 'Til their space needs our attention.
