Don't talk to me about forgiveness
Don't shower me with your lies
Don't try to win me over
With your bedroom eyes
I really don't have the time
For all your foolish games
Tell me can you remember
Every one of their names?
And in a world filled with darkness
A bright light surrounds me
Every since I found a way
To set my soul free
And if you ever wonder
Exactly what went wrong
Just turn the sound up
And listen to this song
Cause I've a new life
And it isn't you and me
Had to take the chance some how
And learn how to be free
Haven't got but a few
pennies to my name
Still trying to figure out
How to place this game
Let's not speak harsh words
Thier little ears my hear us
And it isn't what it was
Let the test of time take shape
Nothing to prove
It was my turn
And I took my move
Friends forever after
After all that we've been through
I hope my dear I can always count on you
I'll never tell them lies about you
They'd know they weren't true
Cause you'll be there every step of the way
At least that's what I hope you'll do
So listen to my words,
take them swiftly to your heart
I will always care about you
Even though we'll always be apart.......

Julie :)

That special something that does'nt completely work out baffles me.  I know what you mean and it's so very well put but I don't think I'll ever understand entirely, I'm just so happy that it ends in a compromise this way... wonderful poem.....ethome.......

JulieAnn......I think I've felt every emotion
that came out in this poem. Anger,
          frustration, sorrow, rejection and
last but not least: letting go.

This was like the story of
            my life here....thank you
for writing it, it was great!!!

EXCELLENT GIRL!!!!
strong self reliant writing...
very well written
love the defiance and still the
kindness at the end..
no bitterness is always best..
tho not always possible
