Angles of His Love He says he’s not a poet yet sometimes he is and I know it I know it because he has touched me with some sharp truth that strings wisdom just right and the other day nonchalantly mind you he said blot your lips with my love and I had to stop for it was going to be an ordinary kiss and now he had changed it with captured words that touched my heart not kiss me baby no not him and then last night he spoke of my legs nonchalantly my knobby knees pointing and he said your legs remind me of a cello now I happen to know the cello is his favorite instrument and I couldn’t help but be struck by the vision of the sleek satin finish and the angles of his love He says he’s not a poet yet sometimes he is and I know it |

Martie...... It's usually the ones who claim not to be poets that have the most poetic thoughts..... I love the way you wrote this!! (especially the part about the cello!) ~~~~~Live for Today~~~~~ taste every single moment |

Martie, very well done! There's a problem I have and that's trying to bring some ideas (like this one) and even issues to the fore. Being an old songwriter I miss some of the poetic avenues that can be travelled. I end up writing straight from the heart in a sort of ballad style which I have never regretted but since I have joined Passions I have tried some different styles and I find them quite exciting. Sorry to go on so...really enjoyed the read......ethome....... |

I enjoyed this Martie...thanks for the smile. Your work is always unique. Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Wonderful imagery. I felt like I was sitting right next to the two of you, and yes I read real slow. Had to keep in rythm with the cello you know. |

I'm sorry, I am having trouble replying to all of you, my xxxxx computer keeps acting up. I wrote replies to everyone and then lost it to a blank screen, so I'm just going to say thank you for the wonderful comments that you made. I appreciate you reading and replying to this poem. |

Martie, He was a poet after all!! This was great writing. I enjoyed it very much. You are very lucky to have found him. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
