To get back what I never had to know what I have never known to reprise a song unsung and still this silence of alone. Perhaps it is just season's end, to pray for lover from a friend, so pained in heart that beats again... my king, he abdicates his throne. It would be better, not to feel... than sit and weep, tears cold as steel. [This message has been edited by serenity (edited 07-18-2000).] |

This is simply a beautiful poem. I love the reference of the king abdicating his throne, what an image! Succinct and powerful, quite the combination! |

Hugs me twin... me loves ya me There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched. There are places inside our hearts - that need to be loved this much. ~jm~ |

Serenity, every single word is beauty, every single line is a poem in itself, Altogether this is stunning. Lovely, sad, but lovely. |

~Serenity,Serenity,...*sigh*. Full of sorrow, but beautiful words you created this poem with. You struck a chord in this heart of mine with the last part. "It would be better, not to feel... than sit and weep, tears cold as steel". ~To be numb at times of hurt. *sigh*. You rock S. Be well you. *Peace. *BTW,...the title stings me. Want to thank everyone, however quickly, before SOMEBODY comes home, and pulls another internet addiction intervention scene on me...(I HATE when that happens) so just know that I thank you all much...your words in reply are dear to me, but not nearly as much as your words in your work...thanks, and hugs. |
