As  the  Sunlight  Gently  Rises
~~~
You  dance  across  a  shadowed  room
gentle  glow
within  your  eyes
Consuming  thoughts  with  soul  ablaze
spreading  sparkle
to  mornings'  rise
Your  trace  ignites  internal  flame
with  passion
and  desire
Casting  waves  of  rolling  tremble
from  a  touch
of  burning  fire
Your  heartbeat  blends  to  match  my  own
as  the  sunlight  gently  rises
And  a  whispered  thought  within  your  arms
adds  the  treasure
to  your  surprises
~~~

Your  heartbeat  blends  to  match  my  own
as  the  sunlight  gently  rises
And  a  whispered  thought  within  your  arms
adds  the  treasure
to  your  surprises

this piece was so beautiful ...I loved it

10 poets from Australia to Washington State met in VA this spring and one those  who couldn't be there sent us each roses...white and yellow for their own special meanings...here is a picture of it..you may use it if you  want  in the future with your lovely poem

The Gift of A Rose

the months turned to weeks
and the weeks then to days
in anticipation
i drove through the haze
of an early morn sunshine,
as the clouds disappeared
and VA was welcoming,
in it's warmth, as i neared
spent the first day alone
as i wandered around
and found comfort in southern
hospitality found
as the others then joined me
and a bond then had formed
a gift of a rose
had been left there, adorned
on the desk there before us
were yellow and white
there was one for each poet
mine of maize, soft of light
a memento of friendship
even though was not there
but in spirit, we felt her
and in thoughts, as we shared
in the poetry readings
as tears ebb and flowed
and a closeness was felt
as we each got to know
that inside of us all
we're the same, you and I
wish to thank you, DollAngel
many tears we did cry
and the gift of your rose
brought warm feelings we knew
from the thoughtfulness of
one as special as you...

Rex, I've not been around much of late, but I'm so glad to have read this piece. What lovely language you've employed to express this tender time. "Beautiful" comes to mind...
