Reflections

~*Marge Tindal*~

You fell upon my day
sunlight refracting through the trees
Came in on whispered memory
as soft as gentle breeze

Played around the meadow
as a butterfly in fluttered flight
Sipping nectar from your memory
relished with delight

The babbling brook sparkles
with reflections of a time
when we were all that mattered
in our unhurried rhyme

Night fell - I caught it
one moonbeam at a time
You twinkled as the starlight
dancing through my mind

Remembering you and counting sheep
Always forgetting the number
Contemplating the coming dreams
of you within my slumber

If upon the dawn I awaken
with thoughts of you in mind
I know that they are merely reflections
of thoughts you left behind

*This piece was inspired by ETHome
Thank you, my friend.

reflections we repeat.'

Dear Marge,

have you thought about submitting this for the book, Marge?  It's quite lovely.

I like how it shows the strength of your bond with others, almost telepathically.

Well I'm glad I inspire someone once in awhile. I feel quite complimented by the fact that you remembered that part of the verse from 'Running To Be Free' and turned the idea into a fine poetic work of your own.
I love that first verse.....
"You fell upon my day
sunlight refracting through the trees
Came in on whispered memory
as soft as gentle breeze."

That's what I call poetic reminiscence of the finest kind to start a poem about reflections... Take care and keep em comin..

ETHome~
I am so pleased that you found it so that
it gives me an opportunity to tell you how
much I appreciate the inspiration.

Your poem 'Running To Be Free' was
so lovely and that phrase kept coming back
to play in my mind.

I'm very glad you liked it.
Thank you again - my pleasure to find
that little gem and have the inspiration
hit me.

Wonderful reflections, Marge...

I ponder the reflections of you in my mirrored soul...
Resplendent smile on your face is for me a looking glass...

regards, sudhir

Marge~

Your reflections on this day are as glorious as the day itself was my friend.  Way to go EThome for inspiring such wonderful poetry!!!
