I'm not lying to you If I was to say I wasn't feelin' blue I'd be lyin' to you. If you were to tell me you cared for me...and I believed you...I'd be trying too. I am feeling pretty damn blue...and yes...it's true you have told me you cared for me too. Is it only my heart not wanting to believe that someone would want to be with me and perhaps never care to leave. Has my trust been so irretrievably broken apart that it won't even cooperate with the desires of my heart? Perhaps I don't believe in Love any more cause it's been so long since it knocked on my door. And how do I know if the Love is true that imparts from you. I listen to you say the words "I Love you" but I cannot be sure if your intentions are bogus or true. They say to fall in Love with someone else you first need to Love yourself. Great poem James! Many questions ... too few answers sometimes. I loved the lines: "Has my trust been so irretrievably broken apart that it won't even cooperate with the desires of my heart?" James, A job well done. I really like how you make reference here: "They say to fall in Love with someone else you first need to Love yourself." I firmly believe that in order to love someone else, you first "have" to learn to love yourself. |
