Someone told me that this death
that is my heart would ease.
My battered soul asked when
but the only response I got was
SOMEDAY...
They told me someday someone would
come along and I'd be happy again.
Then I met you and I thought
oh how right they were.
You, with your laughing eyes
and gentle touch.
And I dreamed once again of
a life of love and hope and joy.
And so I asked you when our
new life would begin.
You told me
SOMEDAY

Paula,

A stinging portrait of a love's uncertainty towards commitment ... beautiful ...

(love your stuff too)< !signature-->

My calling before me, let quill be my offering;
For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive.

Soon I hope.  Sometimes love can be slowed doen from past hurts but if it is real it will get there.  PATIENCE!!( I know that you hate that word) Loved the write and the flow.

I lack in Patience and "someday's" are evil
little words.....lol, This is a great piece
Paula...and "they" say that the harder it is
to get.......the sweeter it is, Hope "they"
are right for you

The day will come when you finally get that which you desire. . . it's just not time yet. . . and it's good that you know that. . .

Excellent poem Paula!!!  Shows that there's always a someday. . .

Paula, waiting is a cruel word - believe me I know! Lol...good that you can accept it as part of life though - and this is a cool poem...
