the following poem has been written with the utmost care so that no words may slip out, unassuming, instill themselves into your consciousness, and cause you to commit mass murder in two years' time. all necessary precautions have been made to make stick figures still seem like authority figures. this poem has been endorsed and recommended by: disney, at&t, mcdonald's, ford, coca-cola and avis, and has been underwritten by a generous grant from kellogg's special k. I sat on the corner, a little down the street, Lined with lamps and bugs against the bulbs. I looked up and said "____, _____ ____ ____; ___ ____ ___ _____ ____." My girl, she's only sixteen (I'm 23), Was climbing a juniper to see the stars. She got sap on her hands and screamed "____ ___ ____ ___ _ ____ ___ __ ___?" Down at the cars. Then her dad came out. I remember, His eyes darker than the sky. "__ ___ ____ ___'_ __ ____, ___'__ ____ __ ____ ______." So I replied "_____, ___! __'__ ______ __ _____. ____ ________ __ ________ _____. _____ ___ ______ __ ____ __ __________ __ ___ _____ ______ ______?" (I don't think he knew we were going out As he passed us his telescope. I set up the tripod in the dark grass As my girl continued to mope.)
