I know if I could heal myself
Oh daughter of mine
Do not concern your tears for me
Daughter of mine
I've gone away yet I am still here
Caring for your heart
I'll take away all of your fears
That keeps us apart.

Its not your fault I've left this house
Fact is we really don't know
Why two people fall in love
Then fall out of hope
The time is right to move along
Your mother and I will go
Not as lovers but good friends
As our hearts still grow

I see you playing in the park
Smiles abound
Dancing like no ones around
Screaming aloud
You've got my eyes and strength of thought
Use them carefully
Do not think so hard on my faults
Remember that your with me

MichaelG~
This is a tender piece from the heart
of a father.  Keep the doors open and
she'll play in your heart for all the
years to come.

Very nicely done.

Lets hope you remain friends and you and your daughter maintain a good relationship. Sounds like you are on your way..

Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go.
